Using the Book

  • Skill 0 – Tell the story. Focus on animals and numbers. Use TPR to make the language visible.
  • Skill 1 – Read the story to the story. Have the students repeat some of your language. Ask some questions. 
  • Skill 2 – Get them to read what they can. Ask more questions. 
  • Skill 3 – Challenge them to think deeper about the text and images.

Adapt your language to the students ability. Have fun.
